Providing Support to our Members and Fostering the Spirit of 'Ohana.
Honolulu Police Relief Association
Welcome to the HPRA website! We are a non-profit organization established to provide health and wellness benefits to our members who are employees of the Honolulu Police Department (HPD), both civilian and sworn, active or retired. We protect and serve those who protect and serve and foster the spirit of ‘Ohana. Today, this responsibility continues through our life insurance program, bereavement assistance and other member benefits.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we are excited to announce the HPRA is selling the Honolulu Police Department Shoulder Patch fashioned in pink to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
Net proceeds from the sale of the pink patch will benefit Susan G. Komen Hawaii’s non-profit mission to save lives by meeting the most critical breast health needs in Hawaii and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Seventy-five percent of net funds raised through this effort stays in Hawaii and the remainder supports breast cancer research.
Last year, the HPRA donated over $6,500 in net proceeds to Susan G. Komen Hawaii. Will you help us exceed that amount this year? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to triple the donation?
The patches are presented in their own folder with additional information about the campaign. They will be on sale during the month of October only and there is a limited supply. The patches sell for $10.00 each; limit ten per customer per day.
